New Truck - Day 3

New Truck day 2 consisted of moving our topper from our old Nissan to our new Nissan. Despite our new truck being notably larger, it seems that the beds are the same! Today Heather played hooky, we left Cailan in daycare with a note saying "call grandma if anything goes wrong" We loaded up and took the new truck to Moab!

We decided to ride one of our favorites: Amasa Back. Lots of rocks to run over and great views.

This was our first real hooky day since we got here, and with the late Spring this year (still not really here) it felt great! This weekend: Snowshoeing.

The truck is nice, the tandem is actually even better. The scenery is the best. I love the terrain in that bottom picture.

The scenery on that ride is pretty spectacular, especially the way it is revealed bit by bit as you climb. On the first stop to catch our breaths, we could see the cliff opposite the creek and just the tips of the mountains. On the next stop - the very tops of those vertical fins of rock appeared. Then a series of rounded sandstone domes between the cliffs and the fins. And finally the whole wacky thing with all the different shapes and colors...

Do your single bikes fit inside the truck, or do they also ride on top?

Heather

The singles could fit inside the truck, if the dog crate wasn't back there. But the dog crate usually is, so thus far the singles have ridden on top.
